Control Your Retirement Destiny

Follow me on:

This is really not a fair thing to say, as I've never been pregnant, but honestly I feel like I've been pregnant for seven years, and I'm about to give birth.

This baby's been kicking around inside of me since 2006. Thank goodness, due to the exposure I have through About.com, an obstetrician with the skills to get the words out of me (my publisher Apress) found me last summer.

I'm thrilled to announce the birth of what will be about a 300 page book, Control Your Retirement Destiny, currently listed on Amazon in pre-sale. Hard copies are expected to print at the end of March, at which time it will also be available in Kindle and e-reader formats.

Right now we're in a final editing phase, and as I've had to go back and re-read everything, I have to say, I do think it's good. I haven't seen anything like it on the market, and I am genuinely looking forward to your feedback.

It's a mixture of stories, along with practical as well as technical examples, that cover all the issues relevant to building a secure retirement income plan.

Now, I'll make one more announcement when it is officially released and available in print and Kindle, and then - due to our About.com rules - that's it. I won't be able to mention the title more than about once a year after that.

You'll always be able to learn more about it - and about any other relevant work that I'm up to - on my bio page.

I think this baby will have a positive impact on the retirement planning community - if you read it, be sure to let me know what you think.

I am a CPA who has been looking for a book like this for years. It has become required reading for those in our small firm and I have signed up to be a client of Dana’s financial planning firm.

The book is well written in as plain language as possible with excellent examples and illustrations. I only wish it had been written 10 years earlier.
