Summary: The 4-Hour Work Week will make you think twice about the traditional 9-5 work week, and the idea of working for forty years and then spending the next thirty years in retirement. This book is a must read for the growing number of people who think they will not be able to afford traditional retirement. It will give them a new way to plan for the rest of their life.

Timothy Ferris doesn’t just get you pumped up about the concept of designing your life; he gives you step by step instructions on how to do it. Each chapter is filled with specific tools and tricks that you can use to follow his blueprints. He tells you how to free yourself from the time constraints of an existing job, how to come up with income producing ideas, and how to test these ideas without spending an arm and a leg.

Downside: The 4-Hour Work Week is challenging for those who don’t think outside the box. Most people will read the book and move on, without even trying the ideas in the book. What a shame.
