The free, year-round assistance Tax-Aide offers via the Web allows taxpayers to pose questions to online volunteers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To enter a question, submit it via Tax-Aide’s online form.
Free Help Preparing Your Tax Return Feb 1 - April 15
From February 1 through April 15th each year, the AARP Tax-Aide program offers free one-on-one counseling, as well as assistance on the telephone and internet to help individuals prepare basic tax forms. You can find a location near you by plugging in your zip code in their Tax-Aide site locator.
